The aim of the symposium is to provide Australia’s health and medical researchers with an opportunity to present their work to their peers, to discuss their experience translating research, and to network with colleagues.

The inaugural NHMRC Symposium on Research Translation was held in October 2012 and has been held every year since, each with a different theme, located in different Australian cities.

The aim of the symposium is to provide Australia's health and medical researchers, particularly early and mid-career, with an opportunity to present their work to their peers, to discuss their experience translating research, and to network with colleagues.

Following an unavoidable disruption due to the pandemic, the symposium will be re-introduced in 2022 as the NHMRC Research Translation Long Weekend. For more details visit NHMRC Research Translation Long Weekend 2022 Symposium.
