The clinical practice guidelines for the care of trans and gender diverse people under 18 with gender dysphoria (Gender Guidelines) will be developed in accordance with NHMRC’s rigorous guideline development process. This will include a multidisciplinary guideline development committee, evidence review, reference panel, public consultation and declaration and management of interests.
NHMRC recognises the importance of input from consumers and interest holders to ensure the guidelines are relevant and meaningful for trans and gender diverse young people seeking care, their families, and the clinicians who support them.

NHMRC opened the Targeted Call for Research (TCR) into Anal Cancer on 5 March 2025 and applications closed on 14 May 2025.
This grant opportunity aimed to fund research that improves awareness and would provide further guidance for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of anal cancer for both consumers and healthcare professionals. Its focus could encompass, but was not limited to, the development and implementation of screening methods, innovative prevention strategies, testing technologies, and health promotion approaches to more broadly address anal cancer.
