The review of the Australian code for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes (the Code) will be led by the Office of NHMRC with advice from NHMRC’s Animal Welfare Committee. The review will also be informed by an Interdepartmental Committee (IDC) comprising representatives from relevant state, territory and Commonwealth departments and agencies. Additional expert advice may be sought on specific issues as required.
