Key changes for the 2025 Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies Grant round.

  • The Cure4 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has partnered with NHMRC’s Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies grant scheme for this round and will consider applications for research funding in the area of Cystic Fibrosis.
  • NHMRC recognises that involving consumers and community members can add value to health and medical research. Consumer and community representative/s (CCR) will be reviewing applications in the 2025 Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies round.  
    • A set of consumer and community involvement assessment criteria has been added to the Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies 2025 Grant Guidelines (Appendix B) and Peer Review Guidelines (Appendix D).  
    • The consumer and community involvement criteria will have a weighting of 20% of the overall score.
    • The scientific assessment criteria weighting is now 80% of the overall score.
