Public consultation: revised Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) recommendations for selenium
NHMRC’s public consultation on revised NRV recommendations for selenium is now open.
The NRVs are guidelines that describe how much of each nutrient - such as selenium – people need to stay healthy. NRVs help people in Australia and New Zealand meet their nutritional needs and aim to reduce the risk of health issues from nutrient deficiency or excess.
Public consultation will close on Wednesday 18 March 2026 at 11:59 (AEDT).
To provide feedback on the proposed changes visit NHMRC’s consultation hub.
NHMRC-European Partnership for Brain Health - call for patient and carer reviewers
The European Partnership for Brain Health (EP BrainHealth) is seeking patient expert reviewers to assess research proposals from the patient perspective. This is a unique opportunity to ensure that funded projects truly address the needs and priorities of those affected by brain disorders.
The role of the patient reviewers is to assess the relevance and feasibility of the research proposals from the patient perspective. No prior research expertise is required. Reviewers will receive dedicated, patient friendly information materials to support their assessments.
Patient reviewers are expected to provide written assessments on approximately 6-10 proposals. Participation is optional for panel meeting where proposals are discussed with scientific and patient reviewers.
Find out more and express your interest by 28 February 2026 on the EP BrainHealth website.
NHMRC-European Partnership for Brain Health - launch of partner finding tool
A partner finding tool (PartFinder) is available for the 2026 NHMRC-EP BrainHealth calls for proposals. This tool enables researchers and companies to search for prospective partners for their consortia.
The tool can be accessed on the PartFinder website or via a dedicated link on the webpages for each call.
