APPRISE is the Australian Partnership for Preparedness Research on Infectious Disease Emergencies. The Guide for assessing research involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Large Language Model Technology (collectively “AI”) has been developed by the Australian Health Ethics Committee for use by researchers and ethics review bodies when developing and assessing proposals for research involving AI.
These guidelines provide a framework in which medical research involving personal information obtained by Commonwealth agencies should be conducted, to ensure the information is protected.
In addition to the Australian code for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes (the Code), we provide information to help people ensure that the use of animals is ethical, humane, complies with all relevant legislation and the Code, and meets the highest possible standards.
