The nineteenth meeting of the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Dietary Guidelines Expert Committee (Expert Committee) was held across 2 days in October 2025 in Melbourne, Victoria.

Evidence to inform the Australian Dietary Guidelines

The Expert Committee:

  • reviewed and provided feedback on Evidence Maps for the scoping review on dietary factors during pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • considered Evidence Summary Profile Tables and Evidence to Decision (EtD) frameworks for the prioritised research questions in the pregnant/breastfeeding, adult and older adult populations, which will be used for drafting evidence summary statements
  • commenced drafting evidence statements using EtD frameworks.
