The fifteenth meeting of the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Dietary Guidelines Expert Committee (Expert Committee) was held in June 2025 by videoconference.

Systematic review protocol

The Expert Committee discussed the revised draft protocol for the systematic review, part of the new evidence reviews commissioned on diet and health outcomes in all age groups. Member feedback and advice on the protocol will be provided to the evidence reviewers.

Items for noting

The Expert Committee noted several updates on the progress of the Dietary Guidelines, including:

  1. Finalisation of the scoping review protocols on diet and health outcomes in all age groups
  2. Completion of the risk of bias assessments for contextual questions
  3. Consumer reviewers have provided feedback on protocols for all of the new evidence reviews.

The next Expert Committee meeting is scheduled for July 2025.
