The sixteenth meeting of the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) Dietary Guidelines Expert Committee (Expert Committee) was held in July 2025 by videoconference.

Evidence to inform the Australian Dietary Guidelines

The Expert Committee finalised selection of existing systematic reviews to be used to answer the prioritised research questions. Members discussed the proposed Evidence Profile Tables intended to inform the Evidence–to–Decision frameworks.

Members noted the process for revising topics not requiring full evidence updates in the Guidelines Scientific Evidence Report.

The next Expert Committee meeting is scheduled for August 2025.
