The purpose of these procedures is to promote the integrity and accountability of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

The Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013 (the PID Act) prescribes a framework for the disclosure and investigation of wrongdoing and maladministration in the Australian Public Sector. In fostering a culture of disclosure, NHMRC encourages and supports the reporting of wrongdoings and are committed to ensuring appropriate action is taken.
