Investigator Grants 2026 – Minimum data due

RAOs are reminded that minimum data for the Investigator Grants 2026 funding round is due on Wednesday 2 July 2025 at 17:00 (AEST).

Minimum data fields are outlined in the Investigator Grants 2026 Guidelines at Appendix G: Investigator Grants 2026 Guide to Applicants.

Failure to meet these minimum data requirements by the deadline will result in the application being ineligible and not proceeding. The minimum data deadline will not be extended.

Using placeholder text such as ‘text’, ‘synopsis’, ‘xx’ or ‘Investigator Grants’ etc. is not acceptable as minimum data.

RAOs are not required to certify applications for the purpose of minimum data. Applications only require certification once complete and ready for submission to NHMRC.

Please note that applicants are permitted to peer review in the same round which they have applied in. NHMRC have processes in place to ensure that the principles of peer review are upheld.

Research Help Centre (RHC) and Sapphire requests

RAOs and applicants should note the minimum timeframes outlined on the first page of the Grant Guidelines regarding submission of a registration form and activation of a Sapphire account. Please email help@nhmrc.gov.au for any enquiries.
