Venous Leg Ulcer guideline released for public consultation

Wounds Australia has released the draft Pan-Pacific Clinical Practice Guideline for Prevention and Management of Venous Leg Ulcers 2nd Edition for public consultation (open from 16 March to 21 April 2017). It will be seeking NHMRC approval of this guideline under section 14A of the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.

2016 NHMRC Standards for Guidelines now released

NHMRC’s 2016 Standards for Guidelines have been developed to bring Australia’s standards for guidelines up to date and into line with similar standards internationally. They are applicable to all guidelines containing recommendations for clinical practice, public health and environmental health.

Colorectal cancer guidelines released for public consultation

Cancer Council Australia has released the draft Clinical practice guidelines for the prevention, early detection and management of colorectal cancer for public consultation (open from 10 March to 8 April 2017). Cancer Council Australia will be seeking NHMRC approval of these guidelines under section 14A of the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.

Minor Amendments to the Australian Immunisation Handbook 10th Edition

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) has approved minor amendments to the Australian Immunisation Handbook 10th Edition.
