Putting Research Translation on the National Health and Medical Research Agenda

The inaugural RTF Symposium was held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 24 October, 2012.

NHMRC CEO, Professor Warwick Anderson used the event to officially launch the NHMRC Research Translation Faculty (RTF), a major strategic initiative for health and medical research translation in Australia. The Faculty is represented by over 2,500 members made up of NHMRC supported Chief Investigators or NHMRC Fellows.

The event provided 400 Faculty members with a useful opportunity to hear from experts about existing gaps in the health system and to participate in discussions about possible ways forward.
