NHMRC has appointed an Expert Working Group comprising of members representing key end-user settings, including consumer education, nutrition experts and the food industry. The Discretionary Foods and Drinks Expert Working Group will consider the evidence and advise on the practicality of developing a fit-for-purpose definition/s for discretionary foods and drinks across various settings. 

The Discretionary Foods and Drinks Expert Working Group is an advisory committee established by a CEO delegate, under section 39 of the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.
