Thank you for the feedback on the definition of 'last 5 years' in section 6.4 and the section addressing the 'Assessment Criterion – Capacity, capability and resources to deliver the project', for currently open NHMRC-administered MRFF grant opportunities (GOs).

In view of this feedback, for the following five grant opportunities that opened on 20 December 2021, the 'last 5 years' in section 6.4 and the section(s) addressing the 'Assessment Criterion – Capacity, capability and resources to deliver the project' is now the period from 1 January 2016 to application submission date (20 July 2022 at the latest):

  • 2021 Early to Mid-Career Researchers
  • PPHRI – 2021 Consumer-Led Research
  • PHCRI – 2021 Primary Health Care Digital Innovations
  • PPHRI – 2021 Chronic Respiratory Conditions
  • PPHRI – 2021 Maternal Health and Healthy Lifestyles.

The application close date for the five NHMRC-administered MRFF GOs due to close this week (13 July 2022) will be extended by one week (that is, applications will close at 17:00 AEST 20 July 2022).

Applications that have already been submitted for GOs due to close this week can be returned to applicants. Requests for applications that have been submitted to be returned to Application Preparation, so that changes can be made, may be sent to help@nhmrc.gov.au

For all other currently open NHMRC-administered MRFF GOs, the 'last 5 years' in Section 6.4 and the section(s) addressing the 'Assessment Criterion – Capacity, capability and resources to deliver the project' is now the period from 1 January 2017 to application submission date. The application close date for these GOs remains unchanged.

Addenda reflecting this update will be published on GrantConnect.

Note
NHMRC cannot guarantee that requests for new Partner Organisations and new Sapphire users will be actioned prior to the revised closing date for applications unless they are received by the NHMRC Research Help Centre prior to 17:00 AEST 13 July 2022.
