Synopsis of publication

The Annual Report of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) provides the reader with a useful and informative picture of NHMRC's performance over the past twelve months. The primary purpose of the NHMRC 2007-08 Annual Report is to describe the agency's activities during 2007-08 and report on the performance and financial information included in the 2007-08 Portfolio Budget Statements.

Archived Annual Reports

2006 and 2006-07

Historically, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) reported on its performance on a calendar year basis. When the NHMRC was established as an independent statutory agency on 1 July 2006 its reporting obligations also changed and the agency was required to report against a financial year framework. The new NHMRC Act required the 2006-07 Annual Report to also include the period starting 1 January 2006 and ending 30 June 2006.
