Trends in the Incidence of Venous Thromboembolism in West Australian Hospitals 1989 to 2001

This 2005 review was commissioned by NICS and undertaken by the School of Population Health, Unit of Clinical Epidemiology, University of Western Australia.

The review was undertaken as part of the NICS venous thromboembolism prevention program and was commissioned to inform the process of development of an intervention likely to be effective in changing clinical behaviour to be more in line with clinical practice guidelines’recommendations.
