NHMRC congratulates National Finalist Australian of the Year 2013

NHMRC congratulates Professor Adèle Green AC on being nominated as a National Finalist Australian of the Year 2013. Professor Green is head of cancer and population studies at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR).

Currently NHMRC is supporting Professor Green’s research at QIMR with a $6.1 million Project Grant to better understand, diagnose and improve survival of cancers of the ovary, uterus, oesophagus and skin.

Professor Green is also working with Professor David Bowtell from the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre on a NHMRC funded $1.4 million grant that supports the Australian Ovarian Cancer Study (AOCS), a multidisciplinary ovarian cancer resource for the genomic era.
