NHMRC congratulates Commonwealth Health Minister’s Award 2013 awardee

NHMRC congratulates Monash University Associate Professor Anton Peleg on being awarded the Commonwealth Health Minister’s Award 2013 medal.

This prestigious award and medal was presented to Associate Professor Peleg at the Australian Society for Medical Research annual dinner held in Melbourne. He also received a $50,000 grant to support his research in identifying the mechanisms by which the most important antibiotic-resistant human pathogens in hospitals cause disease.

“Associate Professor Peleg has been recognised for his outstanding individual achievement, the significance of his work and the innovative approach he has taken to infectious diseases research,” NHMRC CEO Professor Warwick Anderson said.
