NHMRC 2013 Ethics Award

Nominations for the NHMRC 2013 Ethics Award have now closed.  Results are yet to be announced.

The NHMRC Ethics Award recognises outstanding Australians for their contributions to high ethical standards in health and medical research or in health.

Australian individual or group of individuals can be nominated for the Ethics Award. Nominees will be judged on the significance of their contribution supporting high ethical standards in Australia in health and/or health and medical research. The criteria are:

  • significant contribution to Australian health research, or health, ethics;
  • leadership in the development of ethical standards;

It is expected that service will be above and beyond the normal work of Human Research Ethics Committees or NHMRC Committee membership.

Nominations for the NHMRC 2013 Ethics Award close 5 pm AESDT Friday 22 March 2013.

Nominations will be considered by the CEO of NHMRC on advice from Council of the NHMRC.

Please provide a nomination of not more than 500 words (an A4 page) providing examples of how the nominee meets the criteria for the NHMRC Ethics Award.
