CEO Communiqué regarding RGMS - 17 February #3

RGMS reopened for Fellowship Applicants at 3.30pm today.

We will keep monitoring the system closely. Our providers will be undertaking further tests to support wider access - we will do all we can to minimise any disruptions to the system during this time.

Fellowship Applicants

We have contacted RAOs today, to discuss the implications of today’s delay in reopening RGMS given the deadline is next week, on 22 February 2011.

We do not propose to offer any further extension at this time, as it appears that many Fellowship applicants are well progressed. There was a general view among RAOS that we contacted that another extension was not preferred.

However, I would like to assure Fellowship applicants and their Research Offices that NHMRC will ensure that any applicants who wish to apply will be able to do so.

We ask any applicants who may have difficulties in meeting the deadline to contact us through their Research Offices. We will work with the Research Office to meet our commitment to ensure that applicants are able complete their applications.

Project Grant Applicants

Our service providers and staff are continuing to prepare RGMS for general access as soon as possible.

Support arrangements for Project Grants are outlined in my communiqué of 16 February. Please note that the alternate Project Grant lodgement process will be available on Wednesday 23 February 2011.

If you need specific assistance, please contact the Research Help Centre.
