I am so disappointed that we have had to close RGMS again, only 48 hours after we reopened.
I have decided that closure was necessary because applicants were not able to access RGMS to the standard that I believe the research community needs.
Again, the data within RGMS remains safe. As you would expect, we are awaiting further advice from our providers about how to achieve stable RGMS performance.
Fellowship Applicants
Our staff will be contacting all Fellowship applicants registered in RGMS tomorrow, through their Research Offices.There will be further information for Fellows tomorrow on how my staff will help all applicants complete their applications.
Project Grants
Given this latest setback, I have decided to extend the deadline for Project Grants to 5pm (AEDST) 5 April 2011.Because ARC’s Discovery Grant deadline is 21 March 2011, I have set a date approximately two weeks after the ARC deadline.Information about the email submission process mentioned on Friday will be provided tomorrow.
Other schemes currently open
Centres of Research Excellence, Career Development Fellowships and Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) Fellowships currently have closing dates towards the end of March. Further information will be available about the deadlines for those schemes will be available over the coming days.
I will keep you informed about progress on RGMS and alternative submission arrangements.
