Revised Closing dates: TRIPs and CREs
The closing dates for the following schemes have been revised to ensure that no applicants are disadvantaged by the previous disruption in RGMS accessibility and performance.
The revised closing dates are:
- Centres of Research Excellence: 31 March 2011
- Translating Research into Practice Fellowships (TRIPs): 15 April 2011
As with all revised deadlines, only applications commenced in RGMS by the original closing dates will be accepted:
- Centres of Research Excellence: 25 March 2011
- TRIPs: 24 March 2011
The funding calendar and Advice and Instructions for Applicantswill be updated shortly.
Opening - Early Career Fellowships
The Early Career Fellowships are now open. The policy document is available from our website. The Advice and Instructions for Applicationsand access to application forms in RGMS will be available from tomorrow morning.
Minimum data requirements: Project Grants
The minimum data requirements for Project Grant applicants must be in RGMS by the original closing date of 8 March 2011for all project grants to be submitted to NHMRC by 5 April 2011.
The minimum information is drawn from RGMS and is set out in a specific template available on our website.

Contact hours for the Research Help Centre
Monitoring of call volume to the Research Help Centre has shown that there has been low uptake of support service on Sundays and after 7pm AEDST.
From Sunday 6 March, the Research Help Centre will not operate on Sundays.
From Monday 7 March, the Research Help Centre will not operate after 7pm AEDST.
We will continue to provide support from 8am to 7pm AEDST from Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays.
As we near closing dates for rounds, we will monitor the demand for Research Help Centre assistance, and will ensure that we provide the required level of service.
