Synopsis

The aim of the current review is to systematically present the evidence relating to both the benefits and risks associated with the therapies commonly used at or after menopause.

HRT Evidence Summary Tables: Effects and Levels of Evidence.

This document is an interpretation and summary of the levels of evidence presented in the literature review Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women at or after the menopause: A Comprehensive Literature Review - February 2004. To enable the production of the suite of HRT publications a decision had to be made whether there was insufficient evidence to reach a conclusion on the effect fo the various forms of HRT on each of the conditions, symptoms and side effects being considered.
