In this summary, expenditure figures and grant numbers refer to all active grants in the 2010 calendar year. Active grants are defined as any new grants and continuing grants from previous years. Further information regarding the derivation of these statistics can be found here. Each dataset at the link provides further detail of the search terms used to identify the data.
