At the National Health and Medical Research Council meeting held on 4 March 2011, the progress made against each Major Health Issue Likely to Arise (MHILA) as outlined in the 2010-2012 Strategic Plan was discussed and noted. The outcomes from that discussion provide the basis of this report.

In this summary, expenditure figures and grant numbers refer to all active grants in the 2010 calendar year. Active grants are defined as any new grants and continuing grants from previous years.
