This guideline is an update of the National Evidence Based Guidelines for the Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Part 6 Detection and Prevention of Foot Problems in Type 2 Diabetes (2005).

The purpose of this guideline is to inform a broad range of health professionals and health care workers of best practice to prevent, identify and manage foot complications in adults with type 1 or 2 diabetes in both urban and rural/remote primary care and in specialist foot centres.

Hard copies of the publication can be ordered from Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute at www.bakeridi.edu.au.
