Public Consultation, draft guidelines; Staying Healthy in Child Care: Preventing infectious diseases in child care- 4th Edition. The draft guidelines aim to assist child care workers, parents and health professionals in controlling the spread of childhood diseases. It describes simple but effective methods for minimising the spread of infections for many common childhood diseases which are encountered in child care and the home.

Staying healthy in child care - preventing infectious diseases in child care - 4th Edition
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is Australia 's peak body for the provision of advice to improve individual and population health, consideration of ethical issues in health and health research, and fostering medical research in the interest of improving health standards for all Australians.
Through a revision process the NHMRC has developed Staying Healthy in Child Care: Preventing infectious diseases in child care - 4th Edition.
The acceptance by NHMRC of the revised document will coincide with the rescinding of the existing 3rd Edition.
You are invited to make a submission to the NHMRC about the draft document.
