NHMRC procedures and requirements to meet the 2011 NHMRC standard for clinical practice guidelines (the 2011 NHMRC Standard) are designed to support guideline developers, including those seeking NHMRC approval, to ensure that guidelines are developed to the highest standard.
The 2011 NHMRC Standard replaces the NHMRC standards and procedures for externally developed guidelines (2007) and will apply to all guidelines seeking NHMRC approval which have commenced development after 1 January 2011.
A Summary for developers has been prepared that includes a list of what has changed compared to the 2007 NHMRC Standard.
