Scheme Proposed: Single-Investigator Program Grants

During the months of May-July 2004, the NHMRC engaged in a public consultation to review the policies of the Program Grants Scheme, Research and Practitioner Fellowship Schemes and determine the interest of the research community in the proposed Single-Investigator Program Grants Scheme. A Discussion Paper and related Questionnaire were released on the NHMRC Web-site on 24 May 2004, inviting the community to provide comment. A series of public meetings were held in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

In the following documents, the population of respondents to each of the Questionnaires, the results, raw comments and outcomes for each of the issues addressed are summarised:
