Ethical Considerations in Quality Assurance and Evaluation Activities is designed to assist organisations in deciding the appropriate level of oversight for quality assurance (QA) and evaluation.  It has been developed by a sub-group of the Australian Health Ethics Committee (AHEC).  It provides guidance for the consideration of ethical issues and assists in identifying triggers for the consideration of ethical review. This guidance does not impose any additional restrictions to the conduct of QA/evaluation activities.

A draft document underwent public consultation in 2012.  Submissions to this public consultation (identified as non-confidential) are available to view on the NHMRC Public Consultations website.
