People Support

NHMRC funds research on the basis of scientific excellence through competitive peer review mechanisms. It encourages applications in research areas and disciplines from biomedical research to clinical, health services and public health research.

Applications for NHMRC funding are made through eligible institutions, which are registered as Administering Institutions. Applicants should contact the Research Administration Officer of their Institution for further advice regarding the closing date.

Applicants should take note of the eligibility criteria for funding schemes of interest. Applications for funding must be based on the relevant Funding Policy, Guidelines and Advice or Instructions to Applicants, and submitted in the prescribed format.
