The funding types available under the Infrastructure Support funding group are:

NHMRC is no longer funding grants under either of these shemes. Existing grants will cease at the end of their current funding timeframes.
NHMRC Equipment Grants
Funding provided annually specifically for the purchase of equipment. Funding is awarded on a pro rata basis, based on the proportion of competitive funding awarded to each University/institute/hospital each year.
NHMRC Infrastructure funding
Through IRIISS (Independent Research Institute Infrastructure Support Scheme) funding is provided annually for overhead infrastructure costs specifically for NHMRC accredited independent medical research institutes based on a proportion of competitive research funding awarded to the institute by the NHMRC.
