This dataset covers all available information from the funded research grants for the period 2000-2012 as reported on the NHMRC website. It contains the Lay Descriptions/Summaries available from electronic sources within NHMRC as at December 2011.

Note
Please note that while lay summaries for most Research Support grant types are available, only People Support grants awarded since the 2007 Application Round have lay summaries available electronically and therefore available for inclusion in this dataset.
The lay summaries are provided in three worksheets within this dataset:
- Sheet 1 - New Grants commencing 2012
- Sheet 2 - Grants that commenced before 2011 and were continuing into 2012
- Sheet 3 - Grants that had completed by the end of 2011
