This section of the site provides details of the successful NHMRC Strategic Awards funding recipients. Through its strategic awards, the NHMRC supports health and medical research in areas which have been identified as a priority and where there is an unmet need for targeted funding. Strategic awards address priorities identified by the NHMRC as part of its triennial strategic planning process as well as those identified by the Australian Government under its National Research Priorities. They also provide a mechanism by which the NHMRC can respond to opportunities for pursuing innovative projects and national and international collaborations at the frontiers of health and medical research.
