NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship Stipend and Allowance Rates for 2010

Standard rate for Biomedical and Public Health (non MBBS) Scholarships and Training Scholarships for Indigenous Health Research.

Allowances

Maintenance:  All Scholars receive $1500 pa to be used towards the purchase of consumables relevant to the Scholarship.  Unspent funds may be carried over into the following year, but not beyond the termination of the Scholarship.

Conference Travel:  All Scholars receive $750 pa to be used towards conference travel relevant to the Scholarship.  Unspent funds may be carried over into the following year, but not beyond the termination of the Scholarship.

Thesis Allowance:  A one-off amount of $500 is provided in the final year of a Scholarship to assist with costs associated with thesis preparation and presentation.  These funds cannot be applied to other purposes.
