Human Genome Organisation
The Human Genome Organisation (HUGO) is the international organisation of scientists involved in human genetic and genomic research.
The NHMRC has elected to be a corporate member of HUGO for the period 2009–2011. NHMRC's corporate membership of HUGO supports the NHMRC's objective of contributing to global improvements to human health through international partnerships and is therefore clearly aligned with the NHMRC's strategic direction.
Benefits to the Australian and global research communities that flow from HUGO include opportunities for Australian researchers to participate in global discussions, establish collaborations around human genome and genetic research and attend international conferences, symposia and workshops.
For further information regarding HUGO please refer to the HUGO website at: http://www.hugo-international.org/.
