This web page provides information on:
Computer prerequisites
To successfully complete the download, your computer will require the following specifications:
- Your processor must be 800mhz or faster with a minimum of 512mb RAM.
- Your hard drive must have at least 9MB of free disk space
- Your operating system must be Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business or Ultimate 32bit.
Note: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit is currently not supported by Informed Filler.
To submit an application for an NHMRC Project Grant, you will need to download both Informed Filler and the new NHMRC Project Grant Application Template to your computer. If you participated in the last round of NHMRC Project grant applications, you may already have Informed Filler on your computer, in which case you will only need to install the NHMRC Project Grant Application Template.
IMPORTANT: You will need administrator rights to the computer in order to download and install this software. Please contact your IT department to arrange.
If you do not have Informed Filler installed on your computer you will be required to download two files from this web site, the Informed Filler Software and the NHMRC Project Grant Application Template. Step by step instructions are provided below to assist you in this process.
Before you start the download process, we suggest you print these instructions if possible and close all other applications on your computer.
Also, if you participated in last year's application process, you MUST delete all existing application form templates from the informed/template directory on your computer prior to starting the download process.

Download and installation steps
Step 1 - Do you already have Informed Filler installed on your computer?
If you DO have it already installed, you now need to delete any existing Grant Application Templates from your system. To do this, search for a file called gnt2008v1.7.itp and delete it. (If you proceed without deleting it, you will receive a ‘Resolve Conflict’ error message when you download the new Application Template.) When you have deleted this file, proceed directly to Step 7 to download the new template.
If you DO NOT already have Informed Filler installed, click on the link below (filsetup.exe) to commence the download process:
» Download: filsetup.exe - (2796kb)
Step 2
The following dialogue box will now appear.

Choose the option ‘Run this program from its current location’ and then click on ‘OK’. A second dialogue box may also appear. If it does, click on the ‘Open’ option.
Step 3
The ‘Security Warning’ dialogue box will now appear.

Click on ‘Run’.
A User Account Control warning message may now appear, click ‘Accept’ to continue.
Step 4
The Informed Filler instillation wizard will now start. You will be required to select a destination directory for the install. Your system will default to placing it in the c:\Informed directory and we suggest you store it here. If you do select a different directory, note the location down for future reference. Click on ‘Next’ once you have selected a directory.
Step 5
Click on ‘Next’ again.
Note: During the installation, you may receive an error message reading: ‘The file c:\windows\system32\msvcrt.dll is in use and cannot be installed. Please exit all other applications and retry. Press Ignore to not install the file and Abort to cancel the installation.’
If you receive this error, please click on ‘IGNORE’ and continue the installation. The error will not affect functionality.
Step 6
Once the software download process has finished, a dialogue box may appear telling you to restart your computer. Restart your computer if you are required to. If this is not required, proceed to Step 7.
Note: after selecting the ‘Restart your computer’ option the instillation wizard may freeze, if this happens you will have to force it to close by pressing Ctr+Alt+Delete and selecting ‘Task Manager’ from the options available. Within the Task Manager go to the ‘Applications’ tab and select ‘Informed FillerWeb v2.5 Win32 Installation’ and then selecting ‘End Task’ the following window may now appear.

Click ‘End Now’ to close Informed Filler, then restart your computer via the start menu.
You have now completed installing the Informed Filler Software.

The NHMRC Project Grant Application Template must now be installed. To download the template right click on the hyperlink below. From the dialogue box that appears choose the option ‘Save target as’ and click on ‘OK’. Save the file gnt2009v1.9.itp (Do not change this name) to the c:\Informed\Template directory (or to the directory you selected to download the software to in Step 4). Then click on the ‘Save’ button.
