Changes to Project Grants Informed Filler
NHMRC has recently identified an error in the Project Grant informed filler application form which lists the following four Broad Research Areas at question 2.1:
- Basic Science
- Clinical Medicine and Science
- Health Services Research
- Public Health
This is incorrect as there are five Broad Research Areas.This list should also include ‘Preventative Medicine':
The five Broad Research Areas are:
- Basic Science
- Clinical Medicine and Science
- Health Services Research
- Public Health
- Preventative Medicine
Data concerning Broad Research Areas is used by NHMRC to identify applications and funding in specific research areas and reporting to government on emerging trends.
For those applicants who have already commenced their application, procedures to convert this application to the corrected version is outlined below. The data created on the incorrect template (GNT2008 v1.6) will be automatically converted to the new form (GNT2008 v1.7).
Applicants are to in this order:
- Save the current application and close informed filler.
- Download and install the new template as per the instructions on the NHMRC website
- Start informed filler again, ensuring the new template is loaded (you will see GNT2008v1.7 - the old template is GNT2008 V.16)
- Open the saved application and press the 'start' button on the first page and it will auto-populate that data into the revised application form.
- Continue with the application as usual.
