Enabling Grants

The NHMRC Enabling Grants scheme is designed to underpin the current NHMRC funding system by strengthening the research base in particular areas. It is intended to assist Australian researchers to continue high quality, world-class research by providing support for specific facilities and/or activities to enhance the national health and medical research effort.

Introduction

The NHMRC has introduced a number of significant changes to the Research Grants scheme, including changes to Enabling Grants.

This will be the fourth round of applications for this scheme. The theme for this round is Model Biological Systems. A description of this theme and the types of facilities covered can be found in the Research Grants Funding Policy for funding commencing in 2007.
