Fellowship Awards

The NHMRC's Fellowship Awards provide support for experienced researchers to undertake research that is both of major importance in its field and of benefit to Australian health.

Australia Fellowship - Round 4

Applicants for an Australia Fellowship should note that a two stage process has been introduced as follows:

  1. Submission of an Expression of Interest; and
  2. Call for Full Application for short-listed applicants

Key Dates

Expression of Interest (EOI)

  • Open 8 December 2008
  • Close 3 March 2009 for applicants from Australia.
  • International applicants may submit an EOI at any time during the 2009 funding round.

Call for submission of a Full Application

  • Open 29 May 2009
  • Close 10 July 2009

  2. Review the Australia Fellowship Guide for Applicants which provides detailed advice on completion and submission of the Expression of Interest and the Full Application;

  3. Download and complete the Full Application Form for Australia Fellowships;

  4. Submit your completed application to your administering institution.

  4. Submit your completed application to your administering institution.

  5. Ensure that your Head of Department has downloaded and completed the Head of Department Report Form and the Head of Department Nomination of Possible Assessors Form. Please note that your Head of Department should submit these directly to NHMRC.
