Procedure for Transfer

When a request to transfer the Administration of a funded Fellowship from one Institution to another is sought the following procedure should be adhered to:

  • The Fellow should confirm their negotiations to transfer with both the relinquishing and the accepting institutions
  • The Fellow, using the attached proforma, will obtain the necessary signatures from all responsible officers for both institutions indicating to the NHMRC their approval for the transfer to take effect.

On the completion of the form the Fellow is to ensure all the relevant documentation is attached and returned to the RAO at the relinquishing institution for submission to the NHMRC.

Electronic transmission of a completed and signed pdf of the proforma is acceptable and can be sent to postaward.management@nhmrc.gov.au

Please note: To assist with funding being remitted correctly it is advisable to notify the NHMRC of your intention to transfer as soon as practicable.
