Contracts
Senate Order on Agency Contracts (Murray Motion) 1 January 2012 - 31 December 2012
In accordance with the Senate Order on departmental and agency contracts the table below sets out contracts entered into by NHMRC which provide for a consideration to the value of $100,000 (inc GST) or more and which:
- have not been fully performed as at 31 December 2012, or
- have been entered into during the 12 months prior to 31 December 2012.
Most of the contracts listed contain confidentiality provisions of a general nature that are designed to protect the confidential information of the parties that may be obtained or generated in carrying out the contract. The reasons for including such clauses include:
- ordinary commercial prudence that requires protection of trade secrets, proprietary information and the like, and/or
- protection of other Commonwealth material and personal information.
The contract amounts are reported in line with Department of Finance and Deregulation’s requirements. The amounts show the total expected expenditure over the whole life of the contract unless otherwise indicated.
Estimated cost of complying with this policy: $5408.
This estimate was achieved by calculating the total time taken for staff involved in the collection, preparation of information to comply with the order.
Legal information and reporting
National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) legal expenditure (GST inclusive) for the 2010/11 financial year.
Paragraph 11.1(ba) of the Legal Services Directions 2005 requires that, by the 30 October each year, Agencies make publicly available records of the Legal Services Expenditure for the previous financial year.
