The 2009-12 triennium
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Advisory Committee (ATSIHAC) was established by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NHMRC on 15 September 2009 for the duration of the 2009 to 2012 triennium to 30 June 2012.
The membership comprises the Chair, who is the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander member of Council, each of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of NHMRC’s Principal Committees and several key external individuals who bring expertise and knowledge of the Government agenda.
Terms of Reference
As a Committee established under Section 39 of the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992, provide advice to the NHMRC on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and research.
